2022 Farming Season Launched; Improved seeds distributed to Farmers. By Ruth Che Wachong  Governor Lele L'Afrique Adolphe on Thursday 17th of March presided at the official launching of the 2022 farming season and distribution of improved farm inputs to farmers of the Northwest Region.  H.E LELE LAFRIQUE ADOLPHE Governor North West Region In his welcome note, the Director General of MIDENO emphasized on the importance of the distribution exercise; aimed mostly at improving production and productivity in the Agricultural sector, and encouraged farmers to effectively plant the inputs. Northwest Women called to continue clamoring for peace despite the twin crises in the Region.

Women of the Northwest Region have been called to remain steadfast in clamoring for peace and focused in achieving their goals despite the twin crises in the Region.   The clarion call was made by Mme Wirba Jeroline in her speech during the celebration of the 37th International women's day in Bamenda, Northwest Region.    Reflecting on the theme " Equality between women and men today, for a sustainable tomorrow" , the womens representative said men and women need equal opportunities to exploit their potentials, in order to achieve meaningful sustainable Development in their communities and  country as a whole.            Mme Wirba Veroline    She acknowledged that there are more women in decision making positions. Fon Kum Achou II of Esu and First wife assassinated.

​HRH Fon Kum Achou II of Esu is no more . He was assassinated on the 9th of March 2022, alongside his first wife. Reports say his vehicle was intercepted by unidentified gun men who shot and killed the Fon and his First wife as they returned home from the enthronement/installation of the Fon of Weh.                 Assassinated   Fon Kum Achou ll of Esu Esu is located in Fungom Subdivision, Menchum Division of the Northwest Region, Cameroon.
