​Wum 2023 Council Budget: Health, Education, Agriculture, Top Priorities

Sectors such as Health, Education,  Agriculture, Water and Energy shall in 2023 experience a boost as there constitute 54.88% of the Nine hundred Million CFA FRS budgeted to run Wum Council in 2023.

Christened " The Budget of Local Economic Development and Youth Empowerment"  the 2023 budget balances in revenue and expenditure stands at the sum of Nine hundred and Ninety-eight Million, Five hundred thousand (998.500.000) CFA FRS. Mayor Dighambong Anthony Mvo believes that the 2023  budget execution will go a long way to develope the Wum Municipality, as jobs will be created and youths empowered enhanced through different development programs.

The installation of Solar lights at the Bu Health Center and street lights in Wum Central, Support to 3 Common Initiative Groups (CIG), Supply of benches, tables and chairs and construction of classrooms at Government School Nyio  Tsakendze, Kwen, Support to 10 People With Disabilities (PWD), Construction of 32 market sheds, Construction of a bridge over river Moung and Kebuen, Rehabilitation of 7km road linking GTHS Wum junction and Temkebuagha, and a host of others are Development projects captured under the 2023 Budget for the Wum Council.

The investment budget stands at six hundred Million, Seven hundred and Ten thousand (600.710.000) CFA FRS, the Functional budget at Four hundred and Fifty Million, Five hundred thousand (450.500.000), while the sum of One hundred and Twenty One Million, three hundred thousand (121.300.000) CFA FRS will handle Personnel issues.

Mayor Dighambong Anthony during the Budgetary session thanked Councillors and Council Staff for their collaboration in mounting the 2023 budget. He also expressed concern about the security challenges in the Wum Municipality, and called on  denizens of Wum and its environs to Love one another for the development of the Division and the North West Region as a whole.
