​Wum Council examines, adopt 2022 accounts; Celebrate 65% project realization rate!

The sum of Six hundred and twenty three Million, nine hundred and ninety four thousand , four hundred and sixteen CFA FRS (623,994,416), and Four hundred and Five million, two hundred and ninety eight thousand , two hundred and ninety four CFA FRS (405,298,294) has been validated as 2022 Revenue and Expenditure respectively for the Wum Council.

 Purchase of a complete computer set, and artifacts for the Wum Council Meseum,

- Opening/rehabilitation of rural roads,

- Construction of 32 sheds in the Wum main market ,

- Supply of 105 benches in some schools, and support to vulnerable persons in the Wum Municipality are some of the projects effectively executed from the 2022 budget.

Chairing the Council session Friday 10th March 2023, Mayor Dighambong Anthony acknowledged the efforts of his collaborators to ensure that things move properly in the Wum Municipality and encouraged all present to be committed in the development of Wum.

"Let our commitment and engagement to the development of our Municipality grow stronger every breaking morning"  Mayor Dighambong Anthony told participants.

According to the Mayor, the 2022 budget witnessed an increase in the general percentage realization of 65% in both Revenue and Expenditure. He congratulated Council staff for the rise in local revenue despite several challenges. "Examining the 2022 budget will better equip the Council carryout proper execution of the 2023 budget" Mayor said.

The Mayor saluted committee members of the Wum Giant Water project and called on all present to continue clamoring for peace and normalcy in the Wum Municipality and the Northwest Region as a whole.



The session to examine and adopt the Administrative and Management Accounts for 2022 held under the supervision of the Senior Divisional Officer for Wum, Abdoulahi Aliou, alongside Councilors, elites and stakeholders of the Council.
