MIDENO: 2022 Management and Administrative Accounts Examined and Adopted!

​At 55th Session, BOD Adopts 2022 Management and Administrative Accounts of MIDENO.

Board of Directors for the North West Development Authority, MIDENO recently adopted the 2022 Management and Administration Accounts for the Authority. Opening the session Thursday, H.E Northwest Governor who also doubles as BOD Chair, applauded MIDENOs uninterrupted participation in Rural Development, inspite of financial and security challenges. 


“There has been remarkable improvement in the security context of our Region, especially in the project intervention areas as compared to the previous years. This improvement in the security situation has greatly enhanced realization of investment activities”

MIDENO Board Chair said.



Board Members were impressed with the level of realization as far as 2023 planned activities are concerned, and unanimously applauded MIDENO for making its activities inclusive by engaging in the socio economic empowerment of Persons living with disabilities through the distribution of table birds, cane, wheelchairs, crutches,sprayers, sewing and grinding machines, among others.



The rehabilitation of 41.7km of an alternative access road linking NorthWest and West Region, Launching of the 2023 farming season and distribution of improved seeds to the farming population of the entire Region, the partnership agreement between MIDENO and the Ministry of Public Works through the Regional Delegation, Effective management of the Authority’s Equipment Pool, Opening and rehabilitation of rural roads, farm structures and infrastructure also featured in highlights of 2023 realizations of the Authority.



During the meeting, Board Members equally appreciated efforts by Coordinators of the Rice Value Chain Development Project and the Livestock and Fisheries Development Projects (LIFIDEP Phase II) to ensure that both projects are launched in the nearest future.


The BOD through its Chair enjoined MIDENO Management to ensure effective realization of all 2023 earmarked activities before it's next seating in December.
