​POLITICS: Mezam 1B CPDM holds Joint Section Conference, Pledge unflinching support to President Paul Biya!

Militants of the Cameroon Peoples Democratic Movement (CPDM) Mezam 1B have pledged unflinching support to President Biya, through a motion of support urging him to stand during the 2025 Presidential elections.

Speaking during the joint Section Conference Saturday, Cletus Anye Matoyah, President of CPDM Mezam lB lauded efforts of Presidents of the various wings to ensure that more militants are registered with the CPDM Party. He continued that he is optimistic messages from the congress will reach both militants and non militants will be motivated to join the moving train by registering into Mezam 1B CPDM. Cletus Anyeh Matoyah is also determined to rejuvenate and rekindle CPDM Mezam 1B by making Party affairs a collective effort.


The Member of Parliament for Mezam central, Bamenda and Bali, Honourable Nestus Fru Manyu extended his gratitude to militants for their support and collaboration to his office. He revealed that he is member of the Education and Foreign Affairs Committee which is championing a cause to transform universities into entrepreneurial institutions, where theory and practice go hand in hand. According to the Honourable, the idea is aimed at fighting unemployment by mandating Universities to be able to create and manage companies within the university area.

President of the North West Regional Assembly emphasized on the need for the CPDM Party to occupy all Council, Regional and Parliamentary seats in the Country. 

“We were once fooled and must not allow ourselves to be fooled again. President Biya has called and we all must answer”

Mayor Chenwi Peter of Bamenda ll Council presented a report card of some projects successfully executed by the Council beginning 2020 till 2023 such as;

The construction of civil status centres, rehabilitation of roads,  supply of medical equipment to some health centres, construction of ballholes and VIP toilets,support to fish farmers, renovations/ rehabilitation of some classrooms, opening of farm to market roads amongst others. Mayor Chenwi Peter thanked militants of the CPDM Mezam 1B for their unending support to him and team since they took over Bamenda ll Council and promised to always work for the good of the people.

President of the Womens Wing (WCPDM) of Mezam 1B, Mme Joko Frida highlighted some achievements such as the sensitization of the population on return to peace, effective participation in the last Regional and Senatorial elections, among others. Mme Joko explained some major challenges faced by the Womens wing such as decrease in the number of women militants due to security challenges. 

Concerning the plan of action for the remaining months of 2023, the Womens wing will engage in the training of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPS) in arts and crafts, support vulnerable children in selected Communities, participate fully in the upcoming Municipal and legislative elections.

Nche Fru Abongwa, YCPDM President said the participation of youths during the last senatorial elections is clear proof of their loyalty to president Paul Biya.

“We must allow political, socioeconomic and cultural activities to thrive once again in our Region. Never will our generation be known to have denied peace a chance”

Nche Fru Abongwa continued.

He ended his speech with a call to party sympathizers to champion a cause for return to normalcy in the North West Region.



The Joint Section Conference of the 3 wings of Mezam 1B CPDM was largely attended by militants including His Majesty the Fon of Mankon. It rounded off with a Motion of support urging H.E President Paul Biya to stand during the next Presidential elections come 2025.
